Olympic gold medalist Kikkan Randall has revealed that she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer.” writes Breast cancer is currently the second leading cause of cancer death among women, behind lung cancer, although death rates have fallen.When caught early, as Randall’s was, the five-year relative survival rate is 100 percent, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.There is currently a one in eight chance that an American woman will develop breast cancer sometime in her life.From 1989 to 2015, cancer death rates decreased by 39 percent.
